Wonder

First of all, this was a great story that deserved to be told. Almost all of the characters were relatable in some way or another and, despite having 6 different points of views, the story flowed smoothly. With that being said, I only gave the book three stars. I just didn't identify with August as much as I would've hoped, yet Via's side of the story was completely relatable. Her brother gets all of the attention because of his "facial anomaly" and she's being neglected. Even Miranda, who only had a few pages and barely any backstory at all, was more of a character than August. Towards the end, Polacio pulled it together and made August's views matter to me more, but I definitely enjoyed the other character's more. Though his opinion was obviously important, I feel it could've been approached a different way. All in all, this story is a quick read that's worth it if you're looking for a heart warming story about school, bullies, and true friends.
