Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

Wildly confusing but strangely compelling. My eyes glazed over all the anatomical terms, and overall i’m still confused by how any of the necromancy works, but that didn’t stop it from being a wild ride from start to finish.

The author did a lot of unorthodox perspective shifts which at first threw me off, but the way they were used narratively was actually pretty satisfying.

A few too many pop culture jokes that probably won’t age too well, but hot chip and none pizza left beef were somehow worked in there in an organic fashion, for which I can only applaud the author.
