While I was really drawn in by book one, Storm of Secrets and Sorrow didn’t capture me in quite the same way. I found myself feeling a bit disconnected from the characters this time around, which made it harder to fully immerse myself in the story.
That said, the plot stayed strong and consistent—it just didn’t fully hit the mark for me personally. I also don’t read a ton of dark romance, so this was definitely a step outside my usual comfort zone.
Still, I’m excited to see where the series goes! Right now, I’m team Luka over Theon, and I’m very curious about how things will unfold between Axel and Kat. This book leans heavily into deep emotions, which I appreciated even if it didn’t completely sweep me away.
Looking forward to diving into the next one!
