Out of Body by Stella Cameron
3.0
When I picked up Cameron's supernatural thriller and noticed that it was a Harlequin, I was expecting a whole lot of steamy scenes but alas, that wasn't meant to be. The story takes place in New Orleans and follows a woman with the ability to remote view who helps solve the mystery of missing lounge singers. Turns out they're being hunted by a supernatural being who was selected among his race (by fighting them off) to travel to the earth's surface to figure out how to cure the race from an affliction that no longer allows them to live for ever. And no, they're not vampires.
It's an interesting enough story and I like Cameron's style which builds great sexual tension between her leads and holds it until nearly three quarters of the way through the book, but I didn't care fo the story enough to read any of the other books in the trilogy.
