To be honest, I waffled between 3.75-4, for the entire book. But the ending made me want to rate the book higher.
The characters were as interesting, intriguing, and fascinating as in book one. Esu becane a favoured character. The setting, mythology, and descriptions really helped immerse me in the book.
My problem with this book is that I felt like SO much happened in the first 90is pages. Like it felt like a plot twist happened every page and I started to feel far too much anxiety. Which obviously lessened my enjoyment.
