Probably the worst Ella Fields book I've read.
It started out really well. But after he did something unforgivable and then the subsequent possessive alphahole nature of his "love" and then forced feelings/behaviors after that and particularly at the climax due to a certain convenient scene (sorry, trying to avoid spoilers), just made this story annoying and unbelievable.
I wanted vengeance and justice. Betrayal and wild scenes. It felt like Fields was at the precipice, but never quite made it over the peak.
While I was slightly entertained, I wouldn't recommend this book. Her other fantasy stories are better.
