I love having my expectations subverted but THIS was almost a DNF. I think the amount of self-hate the narrator has for herself was a little too much to take. Yes it’s an authentic narrative but it was hard for me. None of the characters were even remotely someone you’d root for (and I love a good villain). The funniest part about it is that the author used a coma patient like Chekov’s gun 🤣
Moderate: Child abuse, Death, Domestic abuse, Physical abuse, Blood, Murder
