The first part of this duet was one of my top favorite omegaverse books of the year... unfortunately the conclusion really didn't do it for me.
I honestly wish Cooper wasn'tthe one night stand /baby daddy .. his whole storyline was so rushed and he was added to the pack SO FAST it felt unnatural. They rarely had any bonding time and to top it off Cooper was jealous of the pack... which always makes me uncomfortable in omegaverse books.
Then you get the rushed explanation of Kate (who BTW was a shit bestie) and tbh the side plot of Boston/New York skin trade was so confusing I had to reread that part multiple times to even get the basics and tbh I'm still not sure how Steele and Merrick found their omega again... or why that was included on top of everything else going on.
However the extended epilogue was hands down the best part of the whole book. Mercy getting attacked by Aurora with a slobbery baby kiss just 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Side note for all the girlies who really look forward to group ACTIVITIES there's no scene with ALL the guys if you get what I'm saying.. which is unfortunate.
