Titus had promised that he would avenge Fawn, and if there was one thing about Titus it was this, he always keeps his promises.
Titus Mikhailov is the calm in the storm that is his family, and it's that calm that holds back his family's storm. For years, Titus has kept the peace, negotiated, and helped to find the common ground between all those he loves most in the world. But, Titus also knows that there are those wounds that cut far too deep that they can never be repaired.
Titus is watching his family fall apart around him, anger swirls as betrayal is taking the driver's seat of their family, and Titus fears what is coming for his family and what is going to happen to them all next.
Titus's brother, who also happens to be his best friend, does the unspeakable, suddenly Titus's normally calm manner snaps and Titus's entire life shatters around him.
Amid all the turmoil, there is only one single person in Titus's life who remains a constant and is unwavering, Fawn, Titus's ward. Titus knows that to want her is forbidden, to crave her is the biggest sin he could commit, and if he were to love her, that would destroy the very fabric of his life.
In this world, there is very little that means more than that of a man's word. And Titus promised he would take care of Fawn, but how can he protect her from himself?

Avenging Azalea is the 2nd book in the California Made Men series by Brooklyn Cross. I fell in love with this series with the first book Protective Phlox and my love for this series continued with this book.
We first met Titus back in the first book. He's the brother of Nathaniel Mikhailov. In that first book, he came off as this mystery man and I wanted to know more about him. And I am so happy that this book was all about him and we really got to know him. And I thought that I fell in love with Nathaniel, oh boy, nope, I am just head over heels in love with Titus. He IS the man.
Titus is honestly everything that you could want in a man. He's loyal, he's protective, he will do whatever he has to in order to get what he really wants, and he adores dogs (although I'd prefer if he loved cats). He is, deep down to his bones this sweet and genuine guy who puts those he loves and cares about first, setting aside his own happiness if it means everyone else is happy, especially when it comes to his family.
I wish he had stopped at times, I wanted to reach into my Kindle and just either give him a good shake or smack him upside the head, I needed him to see some sense. But, it seemed like he finally started to see some sense with the help of his brother Ronin. The entire time we have seen Ronin, he is portrayed as this bad guy, and yet I get this feeling that there is more to Ronin than we are currently seeing.
This is one of the great things about Brooklyn and her writing, she only gives you scraps and little hints about her characters that lead into the next story and this keeps you wanting more and it also keeps you guessing all the time.
I love Fawn and at the same time, my heart broke for her. She had such a rough and traumatic childhood. But, she started as this naive and broken child to this beautiful and intelligent woman who had her own goals for her life. It was amazing to see her grow up in this book from the start of the book to the final page. Watching her finally grow her backbone and find a way to stand up and demand what she wanted in life. I can honestly say that Brooklyn wrote the perfect FMC and mate for Titus.
Avenging Azalea is going to see you laughing, gasping in awe, and even getting you madder than mad to the point of wanting to fight someone. And believe me, you'll understand when you've read this book and gone through every emotion that I'm talking about. This book is a total roller-coaster of emotions.
I highly recommend this book just like I highly recommended Protective Phlox the first book in this series. And I want the next book like yesterday, I so need to know more about Ronin and the truth of his character. Brooklyn Cross has hooked me on this series and gained a fan in me. I can't wait to see what else she writes when she is finished with this series.
