Stirring Spurs is my first encounter with M.A. Wardell, and this book might just be the most endearing cowboy romance I’ve ever read. Wardell roped me in from the first chapter with his vibrant cast of characters and expressive, playful style.

I adore MMCs Boone and Wylie. Hardworking, gorgeous, and sweeter than frosting, these two cowboys are the ultimate sugar rush with their steamy chemistry and swoon-worthy romance. Boone is sunshine incarnate—vibrant, caring, and with a heart bigger than Oklahoma itself, his energy brought me so much joy as he coaxed Wylie out of his shell. And Wylie—gosh, Wylie. He’s had a rough few years, but allowing himself to be captivated by Boone’s infectious smiles and enthusiasm was the push he needed to open his heart and start his healing journey. I’m so glad he found happiness and a home at Rainbow Ranch.

Stirring Spurs is the first in the four book, mixed author Rainbow Ranch series, a beautiful celebration of queer joy, love, and belonging that’s set to release next month in July. I’m so excited to read the full series—so much so, I’ll probably end up reading Stirring Spurs again!
