Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Who knew I was such a hopeless sappy romantic????

Trick question, everyone knows I am! This book is such a monumental achievement, an ode to the gays. It made my heart soar. It was so pure and wholesome, a love story I never would have picked up if not for a trusted reviewer’s judgement.

When Mexican-American FSOTUS, Alex first meets the Prince of Wales, Henry, it’s...enemies at first sight? For the two sworn nemesis, it’s too difficult to be in the same room as each other, leading to a wedding catastrophe that litters every well known paper and magazine out there!

What starts then as a contracted fake friendship for damage control evolves into something neither of them expected. Their relationship is so well documented from beginning to end. We follow the royal monarchy’s dark secrets, the POTUS political campaign for second term, a family friend turn rogue and a bunch of misfits that ban together to keep love alive and secret.

A job well done to the author for creating this realistic escapist fiction that stole my heart. It truly encapsulates what America is finally becoming, a place to be who you are and love freely, openly and without abandon.
