David Copperfield by Charles Dickens
5.0
I can't say enough good things about this novel. It made me wish we still read novels in serialization today, because it was so much fun to read each chapter and wait to see what would happen the next time I picked up the book. I began listening to it while knitting- then, it got so good that I had to take it out of the library and race through the last 300 pages (my copy had almost 900 pages total).
I loved it!! I love Dickens. This was almost as good as Great Expectations (and certainly more complex- it was on par with Wolf Hall for me, as there were so many characters and story-lines). Everybody should want a Peggotty in their life. There is so much love in this book, that I think anyone would be a better person upon finishing it.
