The Upside of Unrequited
by Becky Albertalli
Man, this book was nice. I really loved the lgbt representation in this book! The main character's sister is gay, she has two moms, there's a pansexual girl, there's a mention of asexuality, a mention of a trans character, an appearance of a gay couple etc.
Reid was also lovely, he was an absolute dork and I love him.
Also, the main character's cousin is Abby, which was a character in Albertalli's previous book 'Simon vs The Homosapiens Agenda' (which I Adored), and there's a scene in the book where Simon himself appears too! I was really happy with that, he's a great character and I've missed him.
Molly's character development was also great, she went from disliking her body to accepting it and seeing the good things about it, which I'm always a sucker for.
I couldn't give this book 5 stars, because I didn't love it as much as I loved Albertalli's previous book, but I really enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend it.
