After reading the first chapter, I understood why the book is so popular. The story is uniquely formatted with the A plot taking up less space than the B plot, but it works very well. I was invested in both Monique and Evelyn's stories. And even though I knew they were coming, the deaths Evelyn lived through were heartbreaking. I did not expect the twist, and the foreshadowing Jenkins Reid does is amazing. I think I'll need to read more of her books.
