Shaw was over the top jealous and possessive and I must admit I severely disliked this character throughout this book, right up until the last few chapters. Then he redeemed himself spectacularly. He is cruel, heartless, and full of himself.
I felt sorry for Emi and the life she was dealt. Being a mafia princess she is not allowed the many rights, including the right to marry whoever she wants. She is a bargaining chip for the family only. But she is so strong and mature beyond her years.
