I hadn’t read the other three books before for a while so took me a chapter to get back into who everyone was.
I think there’s a little of Maggie in us all. Shy and embarrassed of how sex makes us feel, of what we like and reading the thank you in the back of this book -
‘If even one word in this novel helps to change that even a little bit, then it’s worth it. If the world wants to tell you you should be ashamed of your sexuality, then I will be louder. You have nothing to be ashamed of’.
I love how Maggie found herself and how she learned to not be ashamed of how her kinks and her love of what she wanted to do made her happier. She was empowered and if you feel good about yourself, you can be happier. Feel no shame. Feel no embarrassment of what you like. We are allowed to do so without feeling bad about it just like Maggie did.
Loved reading all about her. Loved reading about Beau and how the brat found his way in life.
Now looking forward to reading about Ronan and Eden but I think I might just have to read all this series from the start again before then.
