This book is very emotional, it will make you laugh and it will make you cry and, even thought it's not too long, it packs a punch. Besides, while it tackles some very sad topics, it manages, somehow, to be hopeful, heartwarming and really funny.
The writing was straightforward, which made it, in my opinion, feel honest and even more impactful. I thought the different timelines were wonderfully executed. The chapters taking place in the past correlated incredibly well with the events occurring in the present. The characters were brilliant. It's impossible not to root for Ove to be happy.
A book about life, kindness and the events that make us who we are.
