Did not finish book. Stopped at 42%.

I made it to page 255 before giving up. Good premise, but dragged on and didn't seem to be going anywhere. There was also a lot of contrived macho shit that I found really annoying, including at least two uses of the term "alpha male" which made me barf in my mouth a little. Too much pontificating and not enough plot development.
