Mama's Boy: A Story from Our Americas by Dustin Lance Black

5.0

This was a remarkable memoir not just of the author, but of a family, and to some extent a greater political movement. I very much enjoyed reading the story of the author's amazing mother, and his own journey of self-discovery, the LGBTQ rights movement, film school, Hollywood, and his family. There was a revelation I didn't expect that really brought the book to an even higher level -- I want so badly to talk about this book with someone but no one I know has read it. I think it could be a great choice for a book club.
