The Space Between Us by Melanie Summers

5.0

I had a lot of fun reading this one, I really liked the sense of adventure along with the characters. The setting of the story was a lot of fun. I liked the trek through the jungle and the various activities the characters took part in. It made for some laugh outloud moments in the story.
I felt like there was a nice balance of plot and romance. There was a little bit of spice sprinkled on the 2nd half of the book, but everything was pretty tame. I really enjoyed the main characters dynamic with each other. I feel like they both underwent a lot of character growth throughout the story. I really enjoyed following along. I wish we got to know the other characters on the adventure in a little bit more depth. We just got the very basic information about each of them. They didn’t have a huge impact on the story; I just would have liked a little bit more depth for how close of quarters they were in.
I also really appreciated the “conflict” of the story. I felt like it was impactful, but the characters were able to keep up the growth that they developed in the story. It also went in a bit of different direction than I originally expected.
Overall I had a great time reading this story. I definitely can’t wait for the next book in the series
