The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
4.0

Still holds up as a great revenge story! The build up is really cool and makes the individual revenges really satisfying. I also like how in the end some stuff happens that almost hurt the ppl Dante cared about and it shows that blindly going after these people AND their families may be problematic... like Dates himself kinda realizes this himself in the end (my interpretation)

This is a loooong book...the audiobook is 50+ hours. Thats aaaall the Sherlock holmes stories combined!
Bit honestly it didn't feel that long..it was really engaging all the way through...I think the only time I was a little bored was like halfway through when the Count first appeared in Italy...there was a bit of wierd filler stuff like Vampas whole ass backstory that honestly was just not necessary. Apart from that...great
