Why My Cat Is More Impressive Than Your Baby is a brilliantly funny selection of comics in the inimitable style of The Oatmeal. The book is a collection of shorts loosely tethered together by diary entries from the perspective of a cat and a baby. My favourite comics pitted cats against babies but most of them were funny in their own right even if they did wander somewhat off topic.
The art is vibrant and wonderfully expressive throughout and even the few occasions where comic didn't vibe with me I could still enjoy the art. If you're a fan of his work on The Oatmeal this is more of the work that you love and if you've never encountered the wonderful madness of Matthew Inman before this is as good a place as any to start.
