The Last One at the Wedding
by Jason Rekulak
It took me a while to get through this book, but I’m sure glad I did. Each twist and each turn had me begging for more. I will admit a few of the things that happened had me asking, “what the fuck is this book?” And that’s exactly how I like it.
Mystery/Thriller has become one of my favorite genres and this book fits into that category perfectly. This is the second book I’ve read by this author and I’m thoroughly impressed with his ability to bring a story to life. The way he paints different characters as the villain just to turn it around and point the focus somewhere else, it’s awe-inspiring.
I was left guessing up until the very end. I thought I had figured it out, and then I was wrong. Some things I did get right, but the unpredictability was what really kept me hooked.
Jason, sir, you have your claws in me currently and I am excited to read the next story you write. 5/5.
