Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes
5.0
An absolute masterpiece. What begins as a satire of the chivalric romances of Cervantes’ time evolves into something far more profound.
Don Quixote is one of the most human characters I’ve ever encountered. His delusions of knighthood and grand adventures are both hilarious and heartbreaking. I found myself deeply moved, even shedding tears for the man by the end of the book.
It’s a book that stays with you long after the final page. I can’t recommend it enough, especially for anyone who has ever felt the pull of an impossible dream.
