The Opposite of Everyone
by Joshilyn Jackson
Wow. Lyrical. Compelling. Sad. True.
This book was so good. I was expecting it of Jackson but that this book was even better than her others. The character of Paula was so well-drawn. The stories told by Kai made me think of Paula as Kali even as I read the name Paula throughout. I highly recommend this. I have raised foster children and her description of their lives was uncanny.
