The Devil's Star by Jo Nesbø
4.0

I think this is definitely Nesbo's best (that I've read so far). Compelling killer, and a cinematic, thrilling conclusion to the Oslo Sequence subplot. However, I'm docking one star for Harry's conversation with the killer, which had a few holes that I can only chalk up to lazy writing, and also ended abruptly, and with no warning, with functionally no resolution. Still giving four stars for brilliant writing (and translating) and a satisfying [SPOILERS] end to Tom Waaler, including one description of his dead body that really captured what I think is the essence of the Tom/Harry conflict: they are incredibly similar, but Tom is like Harry's twisted reflection. (As an added bonus, I know that Harry is played by Michael Fassbender, but I also picture Tom as Michael Fassbender in a dark wig, so any confrontation between the two plays in my head as Chaotic Good Fassbender vs Lawful Evil Fassbender, which is far more entertaining than it should be.)
