This is a great book for someone who is getting introduced to women empowerment, so I think this book may have been more interesting for me 7-8 years ago. Thus, after the first chapter, I only read the chapters that introduce new ideas. I also prefer ideas backed by science, but this is not the book for that.
I do appreciate the sections on transgender women, being queer, and the checklists on privilege (literally, check your privilege) - it’s a very clear way to see how you may be privileged, especially in ways you don’t realize. I admire the quotes and art throughout the pages. Beautiful book to refer back to on the shelf when someone questions femininity.
