Overall, I did enjoy Oliver and Isaac’s story. There were definitely a few plot holes especially where Oliver’s parents are concerned. They were not consistent throughout the book.
It was huge for Oliver to stick to his predestined path because there would be no other option for him and then he calls his parents and blurts out his news and they are supportive. And then they aren’t. And then they are.

I also feel like Isaac struggled a lot internally with his religious and family trauma that he doesn’t work through. He just falls in love and he’s magically not affected anymore.
