✨a complete mind bend of a book that will have you feeling like ??? by the end. unfortunately, if you don’t enjoy reading about messed up characters, you won’t have a good time.
✨this book has a LOT to say, a critique of higher education/graduate programs are at the forefront, with sprinkles of the writing process, mental health, toxic friendships, desperate feelings of belonging, and competitive women working against other women.
✨there’s a lot of violence in a lot of different forms in this books. from violent language to explicit violent acts. it was jarring at times, and i’m still not entirely sure why this was necessary, but it is a big part of the book. be warned.
✨i would love to hear more thoughts and theories about this book, a great book for discussions. and a book that should be discussed! I’ve read a lot of other reviews and someone gets something different with each review I’ve read. It’s fascinating!
