The Heart Casts No Shadow: an otherworld story by Susan Holt

5.0

I managed to read this book within three days because I could not put it down. The main character Rhonwyn was amazing, and I became way too attached to another character named Dyfed. (The names of the characters are so cool.)
Rhonwyn manages to infiltrate the castle, as tasked by the resistance, by becoming the King’s opponent in a strategy game, where she discovers multiple secrets kept by the king.
It was written in a way that seemed otherworldly and allowed me to visualise everything that happened, including the multiple plot twists that occurred, and I’m slightly in love with it.
