Circe by Madeline Miller

5.0

I absolutely loved “Circe” by Madeline Miller. It was a great read, and I didn’t feel like it was dragged out.
“Circe” follows the Greek Mythological tale of the Goddess Circe. She is the daughter of the Titan of the Sun, Helios, and her mother is a daughter of Oceanus, called Perse.
I bought this instantly without reading the full blurb as I knew that Madeline Miller writes about Greek Mythology, which I love.
One thing I loved about is how it felt like many different stories that link together, instead of just one.
Another thing I loved about it was seeing the Olympians from a Titan’s point of view, which I hadn’t seen before. I must admit however, that “Circe” made me not like a Goddess that I had previously liked.
From a different point of view, I think that Circe would be disliked, and possibly even hated, but from her own point of view, I adored her.
If you have this book sitting on your to be read, please pick it up and read it. It is amazing.
