I loved this atmospheric, ancient-Ireland story with the conqueror's old-god magics competing with the innate Celtic magic. The main character, Neve, finds herself at the center of these worlds, posed to unite the people and right the magic. Helping her are Ronan, a thief of ancient Celt blood, and Sakir, a prince of his own people brought by the past invaders to care for their horses and calvary. This really wasn't a love triangle, though it could have been, and I would love to see how their story plays out in a sequel. The budding romance between Ronan and Neve didn't feel as genuine and I wished it would have been - their past and fate were there holding them together, but the development felt forced.
