As a Bridgerton show fan, I wasn't sure what to expect from the book. I was pleasantly surprised with how Quinn writes, giving us lots of witty banter, steamy tension, and intriguing internal perspectives from both Simon and Daphne while remaining in 3rd person. Yes, there is a scene that has received a lot of controversy amongst the flood of readers since the show premiered. However, I think you're missing out on a quick and mostly romantic read if you allow the decisions of the characters, who are well written to have their own flaws, to deter you from picking this book up.
