This was a good follow-up to the last book and sets up for the last nicely. This book focused more on Emilia and Wrath's relationship which still pushes the plot forward. The reveal that . I feel like some of the twists came out of nowhere and were explained as just "part of the curse". However, I somewhat forgive that since we learn things from Emilia's point of view and it seems she is confused even more in this book. I will say that it has kept me from guessing the ending. I still have hope that all the strings come together and are explained in the next book.
