A very well-written book that offers a look into the Star Trek fandom in 1975. I particularly enjoyed the descriptions of the authors' interactions with the different authors and the chapter about fanfiction. The book skirts around the topic of slash fanfic (perhaps because of general prejudice against homosexuality at the time of writing), but does hint at it, which I thought was very nice.
