I don’t think I’ve ever read this. I’m sure I must have at some point but it rings no bells.
Anyway, my boys and I are sick so it’s nice to sit back and read through a story. It didn’t do a huge amount for me, charming as it is in places but the boys liked it and there were a fair few laughs and reactions so I bumped it up a rating. Quentin Blake’s illustrations are as ever, a highlight.
