Be a Revolution: How Everyday People Are Fighting Oppression and Changing the World—and How You Can, Too by Ijeoma Oluo

4.0

This book helped me deepen my understanding of the current-day abolitionist movement (abolishing carceral systems of justice).

It also helped me understand how different movements would be best served if they worked together--for example, if you support anti-racist work, but you aren't thinking about disability, you could do better.

I appreciated the highlighting of people who are currently working in these movements--sometimes these problems seem too big, and that can lead to paralysis--it's helpful to see practical examples of what people are doing
