i liked the ending. i understand it could come off as underwhelming, but i feel perfectly whelmed. there was a big explosion and now the dust and ashes are settling down. i cannot tell you the amount of times my heart fucking dropped with this one. "it'll be so much less lively without you, fushiguro.", fushiguro coming to terms with the fact that, despite being suicidal, he does not want to actually die, which rings really personal but so does his whole character, kugisaki coming back!!!!, just in general, i'm really pleased with this. it's not the best ending ever, and hana's character feels very flat with her crush on fushiguro but it is what it is. i've read naruto. i guess geto is the one character i'd like to have seen more of, because he's so, so interesting, but that's ok. fanfiction exists for that reason, i guess!
point being, i really loved reading this series and, despite all the damage it has done to my emotional being, i will love to reread it in the future. i'm so attached to the characters :( i can't believe i finished it so fast, not gonna lie.
