I have mixed feelings about this one! There were things I really liked about it and things I really didn't. Most of the things I didn't like came down to personal preference rather than inherently poor writing choices. I personally didn't enjoy many of the sex scenes. Michael, the main love interest, got on my nerves during the second half of the book...almost to the extent that I didn't want him to end up with Stella. I also felt
the unwanted advances from Stella's coworker were really downplayed. This part of the story was used to confirm Michael's feelings for Stella through jealousy, and to confirm Stella's feelings for Michael through rejecting Phillip. But Phillip's actions are never addressed as sexual assault or harassment.

However, I quite liked Stella and Quan as characters, and I connected with Stella's experiences with sensory overload. Ultimately I think the aspects I liked outweigh the things I disliked, but for these reasons, I can't sum up my feelings with a star rating.
