Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

“You are too generous to trifle with me. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes are unchanged, but one word from you will silence me on this subject forever.”

*Insert nostalgic, romantic sigh here*

This story and I just go way back, and I loved experiencing it in a manner other than the movie so much! The language is beautiful, and I understand that the condensed description and long sentences aren't for everyone, but I think Austen's style is so unique and perfect for her story.

I love reading this book knowing it as one of the few in nineteenth century England written by a woman featuring a heroine with so much depth and character. I think this is such a beautiful and bold story, and it deserves all the recognition and hype that it has.

I feel like I relate to Elizabeth Bennet a lot whilst reading (beyond the name, heehee). This book just brings me so much joy, and I can't wait to read more from Jane Austen.

Have a wonderful afternoon
