Libby runs away from Hollywood to a tiny island in Maine, hoping for peace. Instead, she finds a broken house, a whole lot of unfriendly neighbors, and one very grumpy sheriff next door. Fisher has no time for a spoiled actress, not when he’s raising his niece Sutton and trying to keep the whole island in one piece. But Libby isn’t giving up that easily—and Fisher can only growl at her for so long before sparks fly.

What I Loved:
🌟 Sutton. She’s eight, she’s hilarious, and she adopts Libby from day one.
🌟 Fisher’s protectiveness—even when he tries to act like he doesn’t care.
🌟 Libby’s pink golf cart Putt Putt. Iconic.
🌟 The found family vibes with the side characters.
🌟 The mix of banter, sweetness, and just enough mystery.

Favorite Scene:
The spider scene—Libby freaks out, Fisher swoops in, and the tension between them is chef’s kiss.

Favorite Moments:
🌟 Sutton making Fisher jealous without even trying.
🌟 Libby and Fisher’s slow burn finally snapping into fire.
🌟 Cameos from other Brittanee & Jenni books (so fun!).
🌟 Every time Fisher communicates with nothing but a grunt.

Why It’s 5 Stars:
Because this book gave me all the summer feelings—funny, swoony, emotional, and impossible to put down. Fisher + Libby + Sutton are the perfect trio, and I didn’t want to leave the island when it ended.

Final Thoughts:
This book feels like sunshine, ocean air, and the best kind of slow burn. If you love grumpy/sunshine, small towns, found family, and a protective MMC, you need this in your summer stack.
