I really enjoyed this book—minimal miscommunication trope, which drives me nuts. Absolutely live for Ruhn and Lydia, as well as Hypaxia. I love that Bryce concocts intricate plans and the reader only finds out when the rest of the characters witness the plan playing out.
I will say that the scene between Connor and Ethan felt strange. I didn’t love that passed characters were brought back as souls or spirits, and especially as someone who’s experienced the passing of their older brother, the Ethan/Connor scene felt forced and rushed.
