The Smart Woman's Guide to Murder by Victoria Dowd

1.0

DNF at 10%. I'm a bit embarrassed by this but I couldn't bring myself to go further. I just didn't "get it" right from the beginning. The writing style is very odd, I don't know how to describe it but I found it convoluted. The characters were odd and unlikeable. It didn't make sense as the murder is right from the beginning? The book just seemed to be trying too hard to be confusing and mysterious, perhaps that's what it is going for and I'm just not on that level. I was skimming through from 5%. I found the language used to be very extra and unnecessary. I hope others like it better! Thanks to NetGalley for the free preview in exchange for an honest review.
