I loved this anthology, but of course it was my first anthology so unsure how it compares. However the attention to detail in this anthology was helpful. For example there is a glossary in the back and author bios in the back. I loved this because I resonated with some essays more than others, although I loved them all.
As a queer person, I think it is important that I read about queer experiences all over the world. This is a great place to start. I learned about some of the dangers of being an Arab queer, but there was a lot of focus on queer joy as well. This collection focuses so much on intersectionality of queerness, and as someone who values intersectionality I loved this aspect. This is why it got a perfect rating for me.
My top 3 favorite essays:

My top 3 favorite essays:
- My Intersectionality was my Biggest Bully by Amna Ali

I have several new books on my TBR by authors from this anthology.
