the female lead is quite strong considering she’s just normal people for DC, entering Emberfall. She also very reckless and clueless on how things work in Emberfall which sometimes makes her actions seem stupid which is quite understandable in her standpoint bc she’s new to the world but I just hope that she gets stronger at the end in terms of sword fighting or politics or war strategy so that I could feel her character development a little more because I feel like she begs a lot toward the end of the book, despite the fact the she seems determined and strong minded at the beginning. The character development of the ml is visible enough in the book, but I just hope to see more in the fl. Also I like there is a representation of disability portrayed in the fl in the book
It’s funny at the beginning and a little bit at the end. Overall, I enjoyed the book, I’ve read it in a day and a half but somehow I feel like it’s medium pacing and very slow towards the end.
