Good read, interesting the way juicy gossip is. Quite different from the movie: Scarlett's nastier, Melly's a tad less saintly. Uncomfortably romanticised views of slavery and the KKK, but considering the time it was written, it's kind of a time capsule that way. Overall, though, this is one of the rare occasions where I liked the movie more!
