The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver
4.0

Star Rating:: 3.5 Stars

3.5 stars round up to 4 stars. Overall, its a cute, fun read. I can see why so many people adore this book. I liked it too, I'm just a little disappointed.

I can't really say there is anything I necessarily I dislike about this book, its just more I wished there was more to it. My issues are mainly light spoilers, but I don't want to ruin anything for anyone!

Spoiler
Lydia Bird is shockingly immature, and its takes her AGES to grow up. I tried to not be so judgmental, but I wish she grew spine a little sooner.

I wish Josie Silver gave us more of Jonas Jones (which is basically a knock off Marvel superhero name) and Lydia developing a relationship. Its basically they build a relationship via Skype but we never actually see it. I was happy to see them get together, but it would have been nice to see it build up.

Not to mention "I can't be with someone who doesn't know Freddie, so you're it!" is a super shitty way to try to start a relationship.
