Modelland by Tyra Banks

This book transcends any rating. It is painfully creative and entertaining through and through. I think the best comment I ever heard was, "I'm not sure if I dreamed a scene or if it actually happened in the book".

There are lucid moments though when a ridiculous premise reflects reality at you, making you question accepted cultural norms. What is beauty? Also, yes no one talks about it, but often beauty and baby *are* mutually exclusive. Maybe french kissing *is* grosser than media depicts it.

I really hope no impressionable readers take the book seriously though -- or god forbid -- models after the characters in it. The characters are awful people, the plot unrealistic, and values shallow. Why do I like this book again? Oh, it's fucking entertaining! OMG even the acknowledgements are fun to read. Who else has that? No one!
