Only giving this two stars because I did actually finish it.
The dialog is painful in large parts of this book. Some of the magic is interesting but you can't find out much about it because the FMC thinks of no one but the MMC and sometimes her brother. I don't think that this book would pass the Bechdel-Wallace test if that matters to you. If you're wanting heavy spice/romance and aren't as worried about plot this might be more for you than it was for me.
There are details in here that truly make me question if the author understands biology. Such as the amount of water needed for a human to survive, or the number of legs that a spider has.

Graphic: Misogyny, Sexism, Sexual harassment
There is a moment where the MMC tells the FMC that even though she is verbally saying that she does not want him he knows she doesn't mean it because he can smell her arousal. This is just one example of what a giant asshole he is to the FMC.
