A beautiful graphic novel memoir about growing up in Iran during the Iran-Iraq war. It depicts the political turmoil and war through the eyes of a (pre)-teenage girl, amongst her own personal struggles and family life. It does a great job at juxtaposing the mundane with the tragic.
